Interestingly, these ink bottles contain a small internal reservoir designed to make it easier to fill pens when only part of a bottle of ink remains. See below for more information.

*Note on colour: Platinum's 'Blue-Black' is actually a fairly standard mid-blue colour - not the very dark blue more usually associated with this term - it is an iron gall based ink though so care should be taken when using in fountain pens without gold nibs.
